Am i the only person who realizes that Phil runs the ball right down the middle way too much? Lamarcus, Arian, Montario, Lennon, they're all known for speed and getting to the outside(just look at coker's highlights), not running smack into the line for 3 yards tops:banghead2:. that's for hulksters like jerome bettis and mike alstott. most every yard arian accumulated was from running outside. if i'm the only one, i'll shut up

Most every yard Arian gained came on either a zone, counter, trap or draw that started between the tackles.

I've never really thought Foster was built for speed. He did have a good game though and looks determined.

Foster is not a speed demon, but he did show some pretty good quickness last night. He's got very quick feet.

I thought the play calling overall was pretty varied and I didn't have any problem with it.

i kno it was just one play but did u see that run Creer pulled off and the spin move he put on that guy?,it seems like Creer should match Arian Foster carry for carry

Did it seem to you that we changed up the blocking and way we ran? Instead of sending one guy up to block in front, we had 2-3 guys that quickly jumped around to make some blocks before the D could catch up. It just looked a lot different than the same ol, same ol.

I would disagree with you. Let Creer spell Foster. Foster has done very well this year and he seems to get srtonger as the game goes on. Absolutely no reason to stop letting him gash defenses like he did last night.

Creer looked very good, especially on the swing pass where he spun, juked and weaved through the defense. However Foster has earned the right to be the #1 back

That's what I was thinking. Heck, I was impressed with Foster. He seemed to be running with authority. He didn't have any flashy spin moves like that one Creer pulled off, BUT - I think as far as strategy, I'd rather have Foster pounding into the defense all day long wearing them out, THEN use Creer for some flash and dazzle. Not vice versa as some have suggested.

*I will also note that Foster displayed some pretty good ball security all night.

** In fact, I was thinking to myself as the game progressed how mistake-free we were. Well, until late in the 4th quarter when things got a little sloppy. But, I think a mistake-free team has a much better chance at UF next week.

Foster is a great all purpose back. He runs well, catches the ball and he's a great pass blocker. Creer will get some playing time, but no way does he start over Foster. We all know how Fulmer is about the RB's pass blocking.

Ideally, I would like:

Ainge-35 Passes

Foster-20 Carries+, absolutely none of them being straight up the gut or outside tosses.

Creer-10 carries+

Everyone else-The leftovers in the fourth quarter after we've won with stellar balance.

(BTW Coker shouldn't get any touches until after Florida. He obviously didn't know what was going on last night, and Creer's been better than him every chance he's had this year. Against Arkansas State he should play A LOT to get him more into the season, and then we should begin to try a deadly two-back shotgun set)

And I don't blame Fulmer one bit for that. We have to protect Ainge as much as possible. If he gets hurt nothing else really matters.

While I really like how Creer looks, why is no one saying anything about his fumble? If that had been Foster there would be 12 threads on the subject.

He does now

yep, two I believe....BUT he looks explosive and every bit as good as the scouting reports indicated....I have been happy with Foster too and expect Coker to get back into the mix. I like the Creer/Rogan combo on kickoff returns...could be just the spark we need.

Two? When was the other one? You arent trying to blame Ainge pitching it to him on a busted play on him are you? That play was not Creer's fault at all.
