Hypothetically. If you were an athlete and had a chance for a full ride to go to Missouri? Woulda?

My pt is that it would take Missouri to be the only offer to play football or said sport, with no lower tier offers for me to entertain stepping foot near that ****hole ever again.

Other crap holes include, Nebraska, Kansas, and eastern Colorado. Missouri is such a hole of dookie. Tennessee is so much better than that option, that this does deserve its own thread.

Enter this the Tennessee is the goat thread:):loco: I don't mean to diminish what these kids have the option to do. This is just a fan venting and saying screw Missouri!

I have some friends from mizzu and some of them refer to it a mizzery. Seem's like a super awful place to live to the east TN boy.

I don't know about all that, but I will say Mizzou is going to become an arch nemesis real soon if they keep poaching on us. I know it's all fair in love and football recruiting, but it does make me hate them just a little bit more. Now we must crush them.

I would say the best thing it has going is the proximity to Saint Louis. That is still 125 miles though.

Fact is, local kids love missouri. I hate it here, but I am a southern boy. Not sure about O'fallon, Illinois. 10 miles east of St. Louis. Most of the people I know up here like one of 3 schools: Mo, Ks, or Ks State. The people up here aren't nearly as polite and friendly as they are down south. Makes it harder to teach manners to the kids because most kids up here don't have any.
My 2 cents.

random thread is random.

it's also the culmination of a lot of frustration with not understanding why kids want to visit what i feel is a subpar destination as columbia misery. i also happen to ardently hold that we're a superior program. further, having actually been through columbia, misery i want to state this adds to my general lack of respect for their football program.

its a step above vandy though.

Although they beat the hell out of us this past year, I would think that any program that has rock decor on the lawns of one of its endzones would not be a place I'd visit if I were a top recruit. The lawn is bad enough. The "M" makes it even worse.

No, I would not attend college at the University of Missouri.

Couldn't stand to see James Franklin everyday!!!!!

Once heard a Missourian say, "Branson is the Country Music Capital of the World." Pathetic really.

Okay, I have been to every one of those places as I have been in the Air Force for 19 years now (grew up in Chattanooga). I can tell you that as a college age kid during my first assignment to Omaha, NE I agree. I didn't like it that much, however looking back it wasn't such a bad place. Missouri does suck with the exception of St Louis. Kansas is horrible.

But, Colorado is awesome! I might actually go back and retire there. I'm living in TX now and I miss it so much. The clean air, beautiful views of the Rockies and Denver is a great place to visit on the weekends. Plus I love snowboarding. Also, as a young college-age kid, marijuana is now legal there. I obviously cannot partake in that but I can see how that might be attractive to college kids. My 2c.

It's really not that bad here although it's been really cold. If you love professional sports, Missouri has tons to offer. But you are entitled to your opinion. Hope you feel better. We've enjoyed making KC home.

We are winless against them, I remember when they were introduced to the SEC many included me thought great another easy or at least winnable game. How does all the above change our prospects of a win?
