Don't know if you all heard about the missing boy from just outside St. Louis (he was kidnapped Monday after school), but they found him today!

I was on my way home to Missouri from Chicago when I heard the news, and I was like, "wow, they found him, that's great news!"

Then I heard they found Shawn Hornbeck, who had been missing since October 2002! Shawn was from very nearby Richwoods and was constantly in the news out here.

I don't know why, but I've been esctatic about it. What unbelievablely great news!

It's very refreshing to hear some really great news like that after having to hear about such bad crap that happens every stinkin' day.

why did he kidnap them, do they know yet?

They haven't released much of the details yet. He has confessed (I mean, heck, they were in his apartment).

KMOX, the radio station (and former voice of the Cardinals), was going absolutely nuts last night. By 6pm Central, they dropped everything else and was just reporting on this.

They had the guy's name, found out he's likely a convicted sex offender from Utah, and even played his voice mail recording over the air.

When I got in the door, the news stations had extended past their "local news" slots on television.

Just great news overall. Just great!:yahoo:

it's nice to have a good story sometimes, it seems the media likes the sensationalism of bad news more than it does the good....but congrats to the law enforcement, and the kid who took mental notes of the truck the suspect was driving, not just color and make but the size and finish of the trailer hitch

A true miracle.

I saw the press conference with the kid's step-dad. What a great guy - he handled it perfectly. It's clear that family never gave up on finding their son - even after 4 years.

Great, great story.
