I was watching highlights earlier this morning and last night's Denver/ Minnesota highlights were on. If my eyes were correct there were 5 white players on the court at the same time for Minnesota.

I'm not trying to start a race war, but I can't think of a time that I've ever seen that in the NBA...in my lifetime, at least. I didn't know there were 5 white guys on any team in the NBA, much less playing at the same time.

Interesting.

On ESPN Wolves fans are dogging Love (17 rebounds) and praising Barea (17 points) for their efforts in the win. White or black, fans like scoring and don't care for hustle.

Boston Celtics in the 1980's routinely had whitewashes.

That's because TWolves fans are mad Love put the organization on blast after signing a contract extension.

Ainge, too

Yeah, those T-Wolves fans were seriously saying to trade Love, LOL. He's still cleaning up on the glass(15 rp36), but the fact that they are impatient with his scoring after he came back from a broken shooting hand is just idiotic.

I know you're heavy into stats and stuff, is he the best PF in the league?

Yeah, two years ago he was the most productive and last year I think he was second to Ibaka. This year he is average, but it's his scoring that's holding him down. He's rebounding as well as ever.

He also tore it up in Olympic play. When he and Chandler played a lot, the US coasted to victory.

What? You're saying you're a basketball fan, but you don't watch the NBA because there are a lot of non-American white players?

Yes....and not many white players at all....

Just like the black kids say they don't watch baseball much....not many they can relate to....

That contrasts with how I grew up. In Oak Ridge almost none of the black kids played baseball past age 12. I wondered where all the black baseball players came from?

I am happy they are giving these white guys a chance to play. Talent is talent, and if there are people that feel as though they can relate to this team better because of who is out on the floor, good for them.

Dominican Republic and Cuba....:)

Even Jimmy Rollins has said he looks around and sees no one he can relate too...just bc they are black and From the Dominican doesn't mean they are like him....I believe that was before Howard got there....

Yeah, but my point is when I was a kid there was Andre Dawson, Ken Griffey Jr, Eddie Murray, Doc Gooden, Barry Bonds, Bobby Bonilla, Kevin Mitchell, Ricky Henderson, and the list goes on and on. I recognize that it's not like that anymore, but we're talking in just 2 decades the demographics of baseball have completely shifted.

That is pretty crazy

That's just naming the popular players, but going to O's games as a kid, I remember the roster being full of black players. Randy Milligan, Mike Deveraux, Craig Worthington, and Phil Bradley. 4 out of the 8 everyday starters were African American.
