If Dallas hasn't signed one, they may as well sign him back, they still owe him 26 & 27 in guaranteed money. May as well use him

Looks like it came down to game experience and Howell won out on that. He’ll likely be claimed off waivers.

Levis is not good not even enough to be a back up . Milton is good enough to be a back up atleast

Kind of like Johnny Unitas, I think. But give him two or three Raymond Berry type receivers and he'll be fine. Actually, I think he's more of a Doug Williams QB, just need the right team and a coach that likes playing somewhat fast and loose like George Allen or Joe Gibbs.

I watched Joe a lot this preseason.

I suspect that he will find a much better situation for himself than the Boys. He looked very solid all preseason. I only saw one badly overthrown pass. His accuracy was much better. And so was his ability to go through progressions.

Dak is under contract for three more seasons. And Jerry gave Howell $2 million.

What I don’t understand is how the Boys GM didn’t at least get a low draft pick in a trade. But then I remembered that the GM is Jerry, and it all makes sense.

He remains an incredible athlete first, and a quarterback second. And the weird thing about Milton was always his hesitation in running the ball despite his size and speed. Kind of like a Ferrari with a governor on it.

I wish him luck. Practice squad QB ain't a bad gig.

Joe has been getting good coaching throughout college and into the NFL. It’s just taken some time for his mental understanding of the game…and accuracy…to start catching up to his arm strength. He still is not a finished product.

And if you are insinuating that he didn’t get good coaching at Tennessee, I stand to disagree. Joe never would have made it to the NFL without the work of the UT staff. He improved tremendously during his time in Knoxville.

And the same staff got HH and JA shots at the next level without exceptional arm talent.

I tend to agree

The "book" on Howell is basically written at this point. He is what he is. Maybe......maybe a guy who can give you one quality start if Dak gets injured. Anything after that one game is probably not gonna be good though.

Joe is a bit of a wild card. You may get a 60 yard bomb on one play that will bring tears to your eyes and then a play that will leave you scratching your head

Joe will end up somewhere. You can't teach an arm like that-and some coach will most likely say "what if"

Joe's stock will SOOOAAAAAR after this weekend. Good move on his part, as at least 5 QBs will get injured this weekend.

Typical Jerry. He thinks no one will pick up Super Joe and the Cowboys will save money by adding him to the practice squad.
