Idk what it is but it seems like everytime he runs he is just trotting. Milton is built like a LB idk why he isn't putting his head down and running over people
Exactly, if he had at least been tackled it would have made a little more sense instead of just going out of bounds.

Dude he's a kid and he tried to get a touch down. Time is messed up with adrenaline like that, he just ****ed up. Now as fans get behind him or you can shell shock him like JG. Better not Boo Milton he might help one day.

What is the rule had he completed a touchdown pass after going beyond the line of scrimmage? Obviously the touchdown doesn’t count, but would there be another (untimed) play after the refs step off a penalty?

Yup, he should have thrown a pass into the end zone and the receivers should have been ready for it. Shades of JJ vs UGA.

Lost in all of the fracas is the fact that the missed field goal really hurt. Make that and make one with 3 seconds left and we win 32-31.

Special teams can be really special.
Ole Miss missed one too so the FG is kind of moot.

He also completed a pass or two to get TN in position for 2 shots into the end zone from the 20. After standing around for hours. And he’s handled losing the starting job to Hooker with class. He’s a good teammate… just made a bad play at a bad time.

He isn't gonna help the team. He's a huge liabilty. Doesn't have it between the ears and has a cannon with a 2" barrel that fires smooth bore rounds. Sadly the staff can't get over looking at his physical stature.

Zero awareness of his situation. I played youth baseball through HS, I was taught to think through the situation ( score, runners, etc ) before the pitch. From the early teens. But that Milton sh1t, in DI power 5 football at the end of the game, it's pure psychological. Reminds me of JG. Mental trash in a position that's mostly mental. He's garbage, period, right now.

Unfortunate for the kid. He didn’t wake up today thinking he would run out of bounds on a dumb decision to end the game. Unfortunately, Tennessee is not ina position to overcome that type of play. Back to the transfer portal with the others that are there for a reason.

Too many split second decisions on that play by Milton after being on the sidelines for 59+ minutes. The first one was that he scrambled right, where his receivers were, and had to reverse direction because there was a defender in front of him. Then scrambling to his left there was nobody to throw to. Then a split second later he was beyond the line of scrimmage. So he should have heaved the ball as soon as possible when he turned and went to his left. But then he hesitated and was across the LOS. Then it was a really bad look to give up and step out of bounds instead of at least trying to run over a defender. All of those decisions were made in just a couple of seconds. Tom Brady would have struggled to get them all right.

Exactly. Uh, yea…last play of the game; does not even matter if it’s a pick 6. At least throw it in the end zone and give SOMEONE a chance to catch it. Thank God he’s not the starter. Hope Hooker is healthy soon.

….FYI Milton threw it out of bounds the last play of the Florida game too. Mentally he’s not that talented, and he has now proven multiple times that he’s not situationally aware. Super.🙄
