I will say I fully expect Bailey to win the starting gig, unless Milton just wows in camp. With that said, I could envision a scenario where Milton will still have his uses being an athletically built 6’5 245lb QB especially in short yardage situations and goal line ala Leak and Tebow.

Anyone else think Heupel could go this route?

Well if they are going to go after our QB then they will definitely get to them if our current OLine is anything like we had the last 5+ years.

luckily, we have the largest line in years. we have a handful of qb's that can play. we just have one that has a physical advantage. HB is working really hard this offseason tho, we will leave it up to the coach.

Don't think that's going to be a problem this year. From what I have seen of Heuple's offense the QB gets rid of the ball pretty quick. No JG sitting in pocket trying to read the D for 4 minuets.

I think we are going to surprise some people this year. We are now in a system that allows us to play and the talent is there. I go back to the 2016 team that did not have the star power this team did but they were in a system that allowed them to play and be creative and it showed. JMO but I think this team is going to be energized and ready to play and if Heupel cont. what he has done over the years with QB we could have a good year.

No one has the info necessary to predict a starter because much of that info will be created in August. Bailey is poised but is the least talented of the 4. If any of the others develop and become good managers of the O, he won't be the starter.

There’s only one on the roster who has the career experience Passing/Rushing that can at least lead us to beating BG, Pitt, UK, USC, Mizzu, South Bama, Ole Miss, & Vandy….Hendon Hooker.

I have said and still believe that Hooker is the "default choice". More talented than Baily and less risk than the other two. In spite of the numbers HB put up largely against scout team players, I believe HH had the lead coming out of spring. Of the three, he is the only one to have all of his reps with the "white" team- the guys who looked like the starters.

That said, he is a flawed QB. He was beaten out at VT. He has a mediocre arm and doesn't throw deep well.

Phil Steele lists Milton as the Starter; He USUALLY interviews the Coaches for his info. We Shall See. Pulling for Bailey myself.

Good thing about JG when he dropped back you had time to make a sandwich that is unless the defense got him within those hours of holding the ball

We might not have enough QB's on the roster to play a full season. They are going to be targets.

'Cannon Fodder' eh? Reeks of troll.

We have seven quarterbacks:

Hendon Hooker
Joe Milton III
Sully McDermott
Gaston Moore
Spencer Smith
Harrison Bailey
Brian Maurer

If the first six go down, Sully shall land the plane.
