Milroe really not impressing at the Senior Bowl

It blows my mind UGA overcame that lead. And then they let Bama take it right back, pretty easily too.
Ryan Williams, the 17 year old, made an outstanding play for a guy who is 25 let alone a 17 year old freshman . Not many 17 year old freshman could make a great play like that at 17 years of age. It was one of the great plays of the 2024 season, and it was done by a guy who was born in 2007, which makes him..checks notes.. 17 years olds

That guy is only 17? That is brand new information that definitely wasn’t at all crammed down our throats every time Bama was on TV.

It was a great play for sure. Little did we know at the time that UGA wasn’t as good this year as prior years. They were still really dang good though, the difference was they had to play a hard schedule in 2024.

I would say the opposite. He wants to run. He doesn't have to put up insane yardage, but if he feels like he can run, his entire game is elevated. When he feels like he can't run, every part of his game falls apart.
he runs too late imo. it was kinda like watching Milton last year. would just make the decision too late. I am guessing there were more called runs for Milroe than there were for Milton, but even then his decision making wasn't the best. his willingness to run seemed to be more focused when it played off the RB run pseudo option looks.

imo

Just think how many more TDs would’ve been taken away if it had been any other program.
I can think of at least one chokehold that was missed for a TD...

funny how they were so penalized all year, then only one offensive penalty in our game, that saved a turn over off of a fumble...

Blows my mind that UGA was down 28-0 to Bama. That’s worse than how our trip to Columbus started.

It's this thing where if Millroe is hitting his targets, it creates gigantic problems for the D. He just happened to be on that day.

Right, I'm just explaining that one game. IIRC, he played really well against us in 2023. It's a 1 out of 5 games thing for him, seems like.
He did play well against us, and the light switch certainly seemed to come on after that game. By the end of 2023 I thought Tommy Rees did a really good job of getting the most out of him . It seems like DeBoer was trying to force a square peg in a round hole.

I think he only rushed for 10 yards or so, and I think you’re right, he missed some pretty easy throws . People always talk about Will Brooks and that pick to close out the game, but the biggest play of that entire game was Brooks shoestring tackle of Milroe on that QB sneak that he almost housed. That 10 or 11 yards rushing would’ve been about 80-90 yards and a Touchdown.
That tackle was huge. I was in Neyland for the game and thought Milroe was gone. Play of the day by Brooks.
