Interesting. There were only 2 Kennedy class carriers, the other one being the America which was decommissioned right before I got to the the Kennedy. I got to go on a trip to Philadelphia Naval Shipyard, where the America was berthed, and strip a bunch of parts off of it so we would have spares on the Kennedy. A lot of the systems were obsolete and no longer supported by the OEM's so that was the only way to keep her going for a while longer. That was a really fun trip.
