I think MC is more of a microcosm of how low the music scene has sunk. In my opinion, the state of the music industry today is at it's lowest point since probably the late 80's hair metal movement.

Van Halen I'd agree with but those two, along with Poison who you mentioned, are pretty much the quentisential 80's hair bands. And I'd argue that they did most definitely not kick ass.

Motley Crue was kick ass in the 80's! Def Leppard's "High and Dry" and "Pyromania" were both fantastic! What are you smoking??

Brittney had the least childhood spotlight of any of them, if anything to me this makes her the weakest. Lindsay had the best solo career before, but the biggest dropoff. Amanda will end the craziest I feel, but Miley had it from day one. Her dad was a one hit wonder with a mullet, she stood no chance with or without the disney show and music career.
