I would be fine with either Steele or Chavis. Both are good coaches. UT hasn't had a good defense since Chief left. However, I don't think a staff should be forced on the new coach, whomever it may be. Having some former Vols on staff would be really nice, but "fit" is the most important thing.

3rd and Chavis would be a welcome sight after 10 yearsof awful D. At least Chavis could put the offense in 3rd and long to begin with. Opponents haven't even needed 3 downs here lately.

I’d be happy with some fresh faces around here who know what they’re doing instead of trying to resurrect all these old people from the past’s careers.

So, on top of all of the other challenges a new head coach will have to deal with, you're going to dictate who he puts on his staff.

well, I just don't see Chief coming back...3rd and Chavis just doesn't do it for me...:):)
