I agree to a large extent. The last 2 Florida teams under McElwain haven't exactly been the Spurrier teams of the 90s, no doubt about that. Yet, he's found a way to represent the SEC East both years in the SECCG when he wasn't expected to...at all. And as some of the players move along from the Muschamp era rotate out of the program, it looks like maybe he's doing enough with the last 2 classes, including a top 10 class this cycle, to sustain some success, since he's clearly a much better coach down there than Muschamp was. We'll see. Hopefully he falls flat on his face
I'm sorry but after what happened to them in Fayetteville it's hard to think very highly of the gators or Coach Mc

For me, back to back SEC East Division titles, when they were far from being the favorites either season, negates a poor performance in a single game.

Just said the door has closed on Butch Jones's chance to win the east, he then went on to say that next year Tennessee is 3rd in the east at best.

One, why would people like this. Two, we were picked first last year so the "experts" were wrong last year. Somehow you dum dums keep listening to these "experts." Also about Ga, Eason will keep the opponents in every ball game. He's got some issues.

Objection your honor....speculation.

All I know is that they limped into Baton Rouge and beat a very good team to clinch the East.....while we got our ass handed to us by lowly Vanderbilt....after getting handled by a highschool senior qb and a bad head coach in South Carolina a few weeks earlier coming off a bye week.

Wasn't that highschool senior qb a 5*?

And I don't want to bust your bubble but I think SC will be pretty good next year.

Not to be a smart ass, but who the hell is that? And since when should anyone give a damn what he says?

Excuses carry the stench of losers.

:lolabove: Oh, OK. You are going to play semantics to try to wiggle out of what you said.

UT had been "devastated" by injuries the previous two years. Do you not remember the high number of losses during the previous August camps? Jones said he had the issue studied and didn't find anything that needed to change. So he kept the same S&C staff. One change he did make and marked it up to having a more mature team was to soften up August... a lot. If you want to see Hurd's attitude being warped... go back and see the reports of Jones letting him and others give themselves days off for rest in August.

You of course are trying to use a deceptive tactic (read "lie") to evade hard facts. I was neutral on Jones when he was hired. I have praised Jones for things he's done well. But he has earned every single word of criticism I've posted about him with HIS BODY OF WORK.

Literally the only thing you know how to do is criticize. You can't seriously be suggesting that a perennial 10 win team under Richt, not to mention always recruiting well, should be excited about winning 8 games? Not to mention losing to their rivals, Vanderbilt? Having worse rushing statistics even with a veteran oline, returning their entire backfield, a supposedly better brother, and better offensive coaches? I am sure you be excited about next year if UT was in the same situation. You and your merry band of douchers have ruined this board, merely reading it requires a round of tranquilizers. I can't imagine why recruits think UT has the most annoying fan base or why elite coaches aren't lining up to coach here but I forget you are just stating "facts" and are being realistic

It has come down to a dominant West and who in the East has the easiest opponents scheduled from the West. We have Bama and LSU. Florida has LSU and A&M. Georgia has Miss. St and Auburn . The favorite in the east has to be Georgia by a lot !

Um, we won that game. I don't need to make excuses.

Sorry. You don't get to base your arguments off of what you wish I had said rather than what I actually said.

There is no comparison to the 2016 devastation of our defense and the injuries in 2014 and 2015. And yes, I do think CBJ made mistakes in the last off season with the S&C coach I also think he messed up with the easier fall camp last season, although to be fair he was trying to avoid the pre-season injuries that plagued the team the year before. No one is saying CBJ hasn't made mistakes; only that I don't think the window has closed on winning the East.

Keep telling yourself that. Say it enough and you might even convince yourself that what you are saying is not BS.

Are we going to start threads every time some pundit says something about Tennessee? I guess---there are a lot of pundits and a lot of opinions out there.
