Mike Heimerdinger! Why is NOBODY talking about this guy?

Heimerdinger succeeds in the system Jeff Fisher gives him...he failed in New York and didn't do all too great in Denver...

Man, you're way off. Fisher is a defense coach and has little to no input on the offense. Dinger never had the control with the Jets, and thus he went to Denver with his friend Shanahan. Shanahan is an offense coach and even called the offensive gameplan while Dinger was there. The biggest reason he came back to Tennessee from Denver was so that he could have total control of the offense again. I don't want him for UT's head coach, because he's a pro guy. But, he's one of the top OC's in the NFL.

Which is kinda exactly what I said but reworded...minus the last sentence. I like the Dinger...I was elated he came back, but the Titans are 22nd in the league in offense...that's not where they are winning. Heimerdinger succeeds in a Jeff Fisher system. Norm Chow did not. Norm Chow is a fantastic college OC. It makes you wonder if Heimerdinger would be an awful college OC.

I agree on the college coach translation. I just think it's misleading with the 22nd offense in the league. Dinger has this offense clicking on all cylinders. If you rate offenses based on outscoring their opponents, Dinger's offense is rated #1 in the NFL. (They've outscored their opponents more than any other offense this season.)

"Outscoring your opponent" isn't really a stat.
