Is apparently being interviewed today by the search firm.

To be honest, I don't know much about him other than "He's a MAN!" LOL

UT obviously has several avenues they are exploring.

Let's hope they get it right.

Gundy will probably use this as leverage for a larger contract.

I actually think he is a good coach, but don't see him leaving stillwater.

I have really been hoping to get a big name coach. i hope we are not looking at mid level names, let alone ones from the big 12. we would be much better off getting a big name coordinator with sec ties.

Maybe this is a case of MH handling the biggest names personally for increased discretion, and the search firm looking for sleepers.

Mike Leach is worse than Gundy? Did you happen to watch their game? Honestly, some of you people need to actually sit down and watch college football and try to comprehend it.

Yes I watched two pathetic defenses and two good offenses play.

I'll Gundy all day over Leach.

Hate to sound stupid or be a party-pooper, but is there a source for this reported interview? Wouldn't this be the first confirmed candidate interview?

He has no business coaching at Tennessee.

He's right where he needs to be. Let Washington hire him.

It's his 9th season at Tech and his first season worth a damn. It's took him 9 seasons to field a semi-respectful defense. His record is no better than Fulmer's this decade. He's never won the Big 12. He's in a talent-rich state so he doesn't have to recruit nationally.

How do you know that? He's at a lower tier university. Here he would be at the state's main school. You can't compare the two.

I've seen it alluded to in a couple of places. My intent was to put it out here and see if anyone else could add to it. His name is no crazier than some others I've seen mentioned.

Don't forget Gundy is 40! Oh and he would never leave there for here. We don't have enough money for him. OSU has one of the most wealthy men in the world. Fun idea but lets talk about real ideas
