How's that Shoop thing working out? He is no genius,in fact his defense even when we were healthy was porous.

He is working out. Shut out teams in the second half. FL was shut out. He knows how to adjust. Which is very important in coaching. He also hasn't recruited who he wants.

He is here to stay and he deserves to stay. Also this is his first 6 games putting in a new scheme.

Again, why do yall blame DeBord for running what Butch wants?

If Butch is instructing DeBord to hamstring this offense in the first half then he can kick rocks too.

I don't believe this is the case. The o coordinator is the one calling the plays on the field.

We weren't going to win this game today regardless but play calling in the first half has been evident all year.

Last week he was a genius. Today he needs to be fired and shot.

Actually, there were quite a few folks pointing out his deficiencies after last week, and they were shouted down. One of the deficiencies is that he doesn't learn from success...ours or any one else's. The quick slants to the wideouts that worked last week would have been exactly what needed to be called today. 800 passing yards by Arkansas and Mississippi, yet we continue to try to run (mostly straight ahead) and throw passes behind the line. The linebackers crashed the run all game, and we rarely ran the wideouts behind them. When we did, it worked.

Hurd up the middle, Hurd up the middle, Hurd up the middle. Punt!

It's 3rd and 12, throw a horizontal pass for half a yard!

Dobbs was getting hit early and it caused him to throw short the whole game. He felt he wasn't gonna have and that's prob the biggest reason for the two yard passes on third downs. I saw several times other receivers open down the field but Dobbs just didn't look. He just wanted to get rid of the ball quickly.[/QUOTE]

Yes and yes!

Whoever said that needs their heads checked. Last week was better than the previous games in regard to how he handled the first half but the playbook does not open up until the second half with this guy. It is what it is.

Wow, we gain almost 700 yards last week and fans blame play calling this week. About half of the fan base has an IQ of less than 10.

Butch hired him because he's the man that taught Butch how to run this system, the system Butch wants to run. The system that Butch claims will produce winning football.

You can choose to believe whatever you want, even if it means ignoring facts.

This. I've been disgusted by Debord's playcalling ALL YEAR. Even if I don't count todays game. We could very easily be 3-4 if not for Dobbs taking games over himself in these second half comebacks and just balling and making plays. In every win this year, Debord has cost us dearly. We are lucky at best and predictable at worst. I'm sick of it. Debord is overwhelmed. He's just not the answer if any of you want an SEC Championship. Butch needs to make a change and get an elite OC or he'll not have an excuse in a few years. Everyone will be tired of excuses.

Do you believe there is an issue with DeBord in how he has handled the first half of games thus far, excluding today?

For what it's worth I don't believe the system is the issue necessarily, other coaches run similar schemes with great success. My issue is with the play call selection in the first half of games. When the playbook if opened this offense hums.

Right, because putting up over 300 yard avg passing the last 3 weeks and putting a school record of yards against a top 10 team last week is the sign of a bad OC.

Tatum was in at RT dude. Tatum.

PLEASE tell me your gameplan?
Well for starters, get an OC that can coach QB's
