It'll be interesting to see if this changes anything for Gunner Stockton. Kid will be the top QB from Georgia and possible the country and his family has a strong relationship with Bobo.

Awfully small school and region to be the top 2022 GA prospect at QB. You can totally miss Tiger if you are looking to the other side of the road. It's mostly just a sign out on 441. Rabun Gap is a beautiful small town though.

I don't know too much about the area. Just that UGA fans think he'll be the answer to their offensive problems. Only issue, besides Kirby/Coley, is that a UGA 247 mod said they'd put in a CB to wherever Bobo ended up given said relationship. Even with Bobo I'm not sure USCe could pull a recruit like that over other national powers. Muschamp could be gone by then as well.

They're OK with a kid in the class of 2022 being the answer? Surprised they have the patience to wait that long.

They think they have a real shot at signing him and he'd be the highest rated QB since Fields. There's a QB for next year, Caleb Williams, UGA was in on before Joe Brady transformed LSU, but I doubt they overcome LSU now. After seeing Fields ball out at OSU a lot of UGA fans feel like dual threat is the way to go and they lost out on their dual threat QB.

I lived in Hartwell for 16 years. Two counties south of Rabun. May 45 minutes via the available roads. It is a A or AA school. To be ranked that high not playing large high school schedules says a lot for his skills and getting noticed. Most schools that size have 30 or less players and play both ways. So a QB with skills and one good receiver can eat some defenses up because the overall talent from team to team in those regions just isn't there. My son is at such a school in TN. Only 3 seniors his freshman year even got noticed. One was a 300 lb lineman and got passed on by TnTech because he was lazy and wouldn't get his grades right. Was basically told to get his grades right and he'd have a scholly. One was a fantastic linebacker/QB/running back, but is at TnTech as a long snapper. One had to move to Kentucky for his senior season, but was getting looked at by Illinois at the time he moved. All our starters play both ways. Qb's are either LB's or safeties, etc. My son is a 185 pound terror on OL, and also plays LB. He showed great promise as a soph. Pushed guys 80-90 heavier around like cotton. Would block his guy and the TE's guy on a pull cause the TE would just stand up after the snap and look around. Stopped entire drives on his own at LB when he got in. Had to miss his Jr. year to let his back heal from consecutive year back injuries doing dead lifts. So, his prospects, if he had any, are resigned to enjoying playing his Sr. year. He's a baseball player, and just did well in football when he beat out 2 upperclassmen. He got his first start in game 3 because of his punt team play, and never looked back.
