Did he leave because he was done running "Butch's" offense? I thought his departure was odd at the time, and the Debord hire even stranger. I think we all realize now, Debord was brought in to continue to run the same scheme.

Now I'm wondering, did Bajakian leave because he didn't want to run this offensive as Butch requires?

He left because he's not a proponent of power running. His way didn't work. End conspiracy. :boredom:

I think he always has wanted to coach in NFL. Plus getting the opportunity to work with Koetter and coach Winston helped make the decision.

CBJ is an offensive coach. He will always run his offense (hired DeBord) unless he has a change of heart in the future. He is stubbornly married to his offense scheme as are most coaches.

Bajakian was with Butch how many years at how many programs?? He didn't leave of his own free will...he was told to. He was in over his head in the SEC and Butch knew it. It was done in such a way that he could save face.

You not watch a game since Jake left? Epic stats last year and in line again this season. Not "developing"...already developed. Got the snot beat out of us by ALABAMA...Bajakian change that? If you want to throw in for an improvement at OC, I don't know why you'd bring an inferior one's name up. :blink:

Coach Jake had previous NFL experience and wanted to go back. I do not think he was forced out in any way. He coached a pretty good game against Iowa in the bowl game.

Didn't bring him up as an example of what went right. Merely in the context of is Butch so wedded to this lackluster scheme, Bajakian didn't want to continue to run it & Debord was brought in to continue it.

Difference in Bajakian and Debord was talent at disposal during time as OC.. Other than that, 1 isn't better than the other.
