This is what I think their avg star ranking will be come signing day.

RB - Jalen Hurd - 5*
RB - Trey Paulk - 4*

That is 29. We may end up being able to sign 30 which would be a great extra spot to have because we have so many prospects out there interested, but 29 is what I am going with right now.

I think our OL situation in 2014 isn't as bad as some make it out to be and I think our two current commits plus Blair is all we really need.

I think we opt to not take a QB once Cornwell goes Bama and Kizer goes ND or OSU.

-I think we land Poona this month as long as we survive OSU visit but I think our lead is enough to land him.
-Barnett visits after flirting with some major programs over the next few months.
-We miss on Mosley and an impact Juco DT.
-I think Malone is our big signing day snag and the one that gets our name on ESPNU on signing day.

This IMO would be a top 3 class.:rock:

Everyone else make one!

I just don't see anyone being likely at this point. I am sure a name could pop up down the line, but someone else would have to get bumped to fill that spot.

Where do you think that happens? WR?

I think by signing day Dillon Bates might end up at 5*. I think he's gonna have a really good senior season. Also I wouldn't count us out yet for Mosley. Bama could always take some other higher ranked players at the same position, and he just might have the sense to realize going to Bama, with all of their depth, might be a bad idea. Hopefully

I don't think so. Not sure who gets bumped but it's just hard to believe that they only take 2 DT's considering they are loosing McCullers, Hood, and Couch. That would leave Carr, O'Brien, Saulsberry, Carson, Clark. You would think they would definitely go after a Juco DL. Also you don't have Booth at WR and he is pretty much a lock.

Nice mock! This would be a great class, no complaints for me.

With regard to the DT question, DB, DE, LB, in that order, would be my expectation for trimming.

I know the guys we've got there are all good but I think Truitt and Creamer will end up at two of those three positions which would give us a ton my bodies in those spots for one class.

Plus this is a little defense heavy, wouldn't see us trading another offensive player for D.

Would take this class all day and be siked. Still think Creamer could get his 4th star or atleast he should. Dont think Cornwell ends up at Bammer Land unless they miss on a couple they like better than him. So I think we still have a great shot with him, but if not we are still in good shape at QB. Also hoping we get Judd as our Juco RB, especially with it looking like Lee isnt going to make it in.

That is actually a really good list, IMO. I agree with everything except Petera Wilson. I don't think he ends up at UT, but that's given everything I've read so far.

I think we take one more DL, and we don't get Wilson. I would trade Wilson for an Andrew Williams.

We will get 2 or 3 out of left field and at the last moment boom, but on the other hand out of the 15 now that we have 1 or 2 wont be around when its all said and done that the way it is every recruiting season.

Well I prefaced it by saying what I think the recruits's most frequent/average ranking is... he is currently a 3 on all of the sites but Rivals...so he is already there right now.

Just trying to get an accurate feel for how our class would be viewed across the 4 sites.

After reading his most recent article I really think the staff has made him a huge priority and I think we have a great shot at him. I mean he hasn't visited in a long time and still has us near the top...I think he's upcoming trip could really help us.

So hard to decide at this point who we'll get...I mean I'm not even including guys like McDowell and others that are very possible options too.

That's why it is a mock...probably not gonna be exactly right.

hard to not be happy with that class but taking only 3 OL would scare me - now if Tiny stays much less of an issue but im not sure how likely that is so I would prefer more than 3 OL

The staff seems very happy with Crowder, Kerbyson and Jackson who will all start going into next year. They will all be 3 years into the program, it isn't like they are true freshman starting. Then one of Posey and Pair could play to supplement a Freshman coming along slowly. Blair would start day one.

Then we have a the three signee's from last year and Coleman Thomas and Zeus.

That would be 10 OLineman...not terrible.

No, not terrible - I am not a sky is falling kind of guy - and guys starting that are in year 3 of being in the program is a far cry from where we were a couple years ago

in a perfect world would love to get 1 or 2 more than 3

we will see how it all shakes out - if you have a shot at a game-changing talent at another position you don't want to pass on that just to get a "filler" guy who will likely never play either so I get its not the easiest thing to do and we do have 3 solid prospects in your list
