Condon's Slugging % is just stupid good at 1.109.

With his average and slugging percentage, it would be insane to pitch to him with bases loaded. There's likely 75% chance that a run is going to score no matter what the pitcher does and likely a 50% chance that 2 or more runs will score. Walk in a run and deal with the next guy or see if he will chase a few pitches way outside the zone- the old "unintentional intentional walk"

I'm glad he's in our rearview mirror- at least until the postseason.

If you looked at average number, A&M and Tennessee have the most balance between offense and defense.
Arkansas- by far has the best pitching but are middling offensively.

Now, let's look at national rankings:

Some of the stats are clearly effected by Tennessee's littany of run rule games. For instance. the Vols would likely be in top-3 on total hits list and at- or near #1 on doubles list.

The Vols' pitching rankings are likely far higher than most common fans would assume.

Tennessee took a resounding lead in homeruns in a weekend on the road against a good pitching team in a supposedly hitter friendly ball park.

Tennessee remaining SEC schedule is against pitching staffs' ranked (ERA)

We suck at triples. Can't hardly steal a base, either.

Stats don't show it, but our bunting needs a lot of work, too.

I can't wait 'til we are good again.
