Does anyone have it? Is it worth getting? I want a good flight simulator that has a combat simulator in it. Any ideas?

Its great! I spoke to an amature pilot before purchasing it, he told me, he uses it scout out his real flights. He could be bs'n me but all in all its a great game!

I don't know if I'd go that far... And I don't think it has combat anything. But, it is the best flight simulator on the market, that's for sure. Great program.

This is just my opinion, but flight sims are about as much fun as watching paint dry

Man, the last combat flight sim I really played was Jetfighter 3 (circa 1994)

I used to crank up Metallica- "Kill'em All" when I played it. =) I'm convinced that that album is some of the best dogfighting music out there!!

I don't know if I'd really count them as simulators, but check out the Ace Combat series for PlayStation. Has been the undisputed king of fighter pilot games for years.

I was kind of looking for a PC type. Do they make them for it as well?

There's a couple decent WWII flight action simulators. I forget the name, but that's about all there is. Pickins be slim.

The Battlefield series has some decend flying in them- I wouldn't call it a flight "sim"- but dogfighting and strafing real targets is extremely fun none-the-less.

It's about as close as you're going to get. To my knowledge, there's never been a sim flight game with any action in it.

When going through some boxes of old crap I found a joystick that I bought about 5 years ago for some reason, so decided to grab this game. I'm actually kinda hyped about it, of course it will take a while for me to finish getting it.

I forgot all about this game. I was big on this and huge on train simulator

The Videos for Microsoft Flight look amazing, I'm hoping they add more real world detail to the ground, something like incorporating something along the lines of Google Earth.

It's still very early in the development, but I'm sure Microsoft is going to be swinging for the fences on it.
