Missed most of this. Not surprised that Michigan didn't get a free throw attempt of any kind until there were two minutes left. Just didn't play well enough to win, it looks like.

I can't visit the NCAA forum anymore without multiple signs on the same page that say, "HAHA!!! UK blew out Tennessee in 2010."

I cannot believe the OP is allowed to get away with that screen name. I don't care if, in person, he's the nicest guy on the board. This is ridiculous.

You even joined in March of 2010. During the latter years of Tubby, and the two years of Gillispie, you were probably too scared to go near a rival board.

As long as you have that screen name, you are honestly the biggest POS on this board. I have read far more troll-like posts from other posters than anything you've written, but nobody else, from Bama, Fla, UK, or anywhere else, uses a screen name like that.

And, all 80-something posts probably come during basketball season. I know - you got one cheap football victory, and it's translated into a whole lot of nothing on the recruiting trail.

I was pointed here in 2010 by a friend who linked to a thread about UK. I liked it because it had a great view of news around the SEC. I don't have a login to any other sports message board, save ESPN.

I'm a fan of my team and you of yours. Let it go man...

I'm normally not the guy to up and call people out. And, I'm normally not the guy to start name-calling.

But, this guy could very easily change his screen name to something that doesn't highlight a past Tennessee loss, but instead he chooses this one. He's basically wagging a finger at everyone else everytime he posts.

I have no issues with your fandom.
My only issue is with your use of a screen name that highlights a Tennessee loss to an arch rival on a Tennesseee message board.

Show some respect for the only message board you have an account on by changing your screen name, and I'll respect you back.

But, if you're going to walk the halls of VN holding up a sign that says, 'We Beat You By 29' and refuse to take it down, then I'm going to call you what you are.

It's a freaking screen name. You know darn well that if Tennessee beat Florida or someone by 29 in basketball that there would be a "UTby29" account on a Florida message board five minutes after the game ended.

If a trolling Tennessee fan did that on a Fla board after beating Fla, they would probably be banned.

I recall another thread quite a while ago, in which several posters politely asked him to change his name, and he refused and kept saying it was in fun. That might have been right after he joined.

I don't understand why it's such a problem for him to change names to something that doesn't poke fun at anybody who remembers that game.

If a Bama fan had joined VN back in Oct. calling himself BamaBy31, I would expect the board to react with anger.

What view is there to take other than that a rival fan joined VN after creaming us in Nashville and chose a screen name that made fun of the final score?

Why not TopCats or UK#1 or BBNForever ? Nope - it's UKby29 on a Tennessee message board.

The suggestions I just made would still be more annoying to most locals than the names actually chosen by the UK fans who are here. Nothing wrong with a name like BigPapaCat or Brian McKat. You're just letting us know who you are, and you're not rubbing anything in anyone's face. UKby29, to me, is not acceptable.

But, don't walk into my neighborhood in TN, perpetually hold up a sign with the game score, and expect to be treated like everybody else.

Still. Dont keep nagging him about it. Deal with it. I have learned to ignore most of the UK bashing crap. I try not to start a fight. Deal with the username. I'm not supporting him, but trust me...if you ignore it, everything is better.
