Texas looks pretty good. They got shooters, depth, execute excellent in the half court and player good D (everything Tennessee is not haha).

Michigan Stat just tied it up at 21. They are playing pretty good D right now. Forced Texas to take 2 bad shots in a row.

Spartans playing very selfish right now. Too worried about driving it inside and looking pretty instead of passing it off. .

Pearl, take notice! Watch the screens and back door cuts that Izzo puts in the halfcourt O.

Wow this game is good. Spartans playing very good right now. Texas just came back down the floor and hit a 3. Texas is a lot quicker than I thought they were. 31-26 MSU

Ok, so Texas has some big wins this year. HOWEVER, do we attribute them to Texas being that good or UNC and MSU having somewhat down years?

I have watched them play 3 times this year, and the two BIGGEST things that stand out to me are:

1) Defense

2) Depth

Each game the announcers rave over their defense as the best in the country, and honestly I can't argue against it.

They substitute in waves, even after losing one of the best players for the season. They like to run, and Pittman is an animal down low.

Granted, UNC and MSU are not top tier this year, and their are tougher tests out there. However, I think Texas is good enough to play with anyone out there, period.

Personally, I can't wait to see Texas/Kansas. I have been watching Kansas, and I am not overly impressed with their execution. However, they haven't played ANYONE to this point in time, and thats not a stretch. Their schedule is beyond cake to this point.

Nobody want to play MSU late. They clearly miss Lefty Lerch, but they will be strong.

MSU will be deadly come March. I said Texas would sweep Kansas this year and people laughed at me. I see it happening even more now. Not only is the depth impressive but the skill level coming off the bench is what makes it so tough. Also, Barnes probably has the best defense this year than I've ever seen from a Texas team. They are quick, long, and have about 7 guys that would start or be placed in heavy rotation anywhere in the country. Texas and Kansas is going to be classic.
