They are trying to re-brand their organization with the new stadium, like the Rays did when they changed their name. A "new start".

Hopefully the Marlins will have more success getting fans to the park than the Rays have. I've never seen such a good team get such little support. I don't know what city could support an MLB team, maybe Charlotte, but the Rays need to go somewhere else.

I'm doing a Marketing Plan for a baseball team in Raleigh for my Sport Marketing class. There seems to be a lot of potential in that area for a team.

I'm doing a Marketing Plan for a baseball team in Raleigh for my Sport Marketing class. There seems to be a lot of potential in that area for a team.

That would be very awesome. More southern teams are needed. Florida is a pro sports dump and does not count. It is also interesting to note that both Raleigh and Charlotte are larger television markets than the MLB cities of Baltimore, San Diego, Kansas City, Cincinnati and Milwaukee.
