Meyer's Discipline Works Wonders

" Two years ago, linebacker Taurean Charles was dismissed from the team following another keg-related incident".

Ah man, hearing that reminds me of my college years

as much as I want to throw stones I remember that Tennessee lives in a glass house

Seems like an odd thing to do. I mean, if you want a beer, isn't it easier to go buy one or even steal a six pack rather than try to abscond with an entire keg? I'm guessing there's more to the story.

Of course we know the guy will have to write "I will not steal kegs" on the blackboard 500 times, then play in the Tennessee game.

I remember in the not too distant past when discipline issues were a problem on the hill. Seems Urban will have some tough decisions in the near future. Too many off season arrests is a sign of a lack of team leadership. This should be interesting.

Sounds fair. But if it were up to me he could just write it 200 times and I'd be okay with it. Plus, I would hope that he would be allowed, nay, encouraged, to carry a knife into the UT game.

I agree. We usually have a problem or two, but over the last couiple of years it has gotten worse, it seems, and we have a good 3 or 4 of them, and with increasing severity.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say stuff like this happend all the time to big name teams in the 70's, 80's, and early 90's but it just didn't get reported.

That's why it seems like there is some kind of increase but I would guess that it's around the norm.

This is ridiculous. If these guys along with the guy who likes to fire off a few rounds from his AK47 to show a guy what it's like to be scared aren't thrown under the jail, there is no justice in America.

Florida is so happy that they have Urban Meyer . . . The last coach would have showed up at the party himself to diffuse the situation.

Hope Meyer can grab hold and put the kabosh on what is currently only an annoying trend LG...

Any sort of off field disruptions are jet fuel for these boards... and rockets are hard to slow down.
