I saw some video from the building the stern hit. It was under power in reverse and just wrecked itself. 2 dead. very sad.

Ships are funny - the guy driving doesn't have direct control of the engines. The guys running the engines can't see out. They're all just strange that way.

That's why I love my Jon boat, I'm in complete control. If I can't handle that 30lb thrust trolling motor, I need to sink

I had a little 12ft jonboat, on trailer with a 10hp Johnson. Let an acquaintance borrow it who worked with 1 of my best friends. Dude moved and stole my boat dropped off of Bookface etc. Apparently just to steal my boat and whatever else they had stolen from others. People are crazy. Glad it was just a little boat I didnt use much.

Dude moved and stole my boat dropped off of Bookface etc. Apparently just to steal my boat and whatever else they had stolen from others. People are crazy. I don't get the deal on if the engines were running or not.

No, I believe the bridge repositioned itself to thwart the attack by the Mexican Navy.

It hit the bridge because it was to tall to go under it.

In this case it was like ramming something with a car. When you ram something with a car, you have to aim at it and drive right toward it or you’ll miss. It they drove the ship somewhere else then they can’t ram the Brooklyn bridge.

There are going to be people that will say the current or tide was responsible. These people are liars, but I admit I might say the same thing if I rammed the Brooklyn bridge right in front of everybody

Yeah he is definitely on the short list, but I don't lose sleep over it . I could never get it to plane out right. When I would open up throttle, the front of the boat went straight up regardless of trim etc. Guess i needed a fat fishing buddy to put in the front instead of my 40lb little son
