Anyone have it or played? it was got a perfect 10 from Gamespot reviews.

I bought the bundled PS3 that came with it. The graphics are wonderful as it is in 1080p. The gameplay is the standard way it was been since the beginning. There are so many cinematic scenes and things of this nature that I have played the game for 5 or so hours but 2 of that have been nothing but movie scenes so I am not sure how far exactly I am into the game. I enjoy playing and sometimes skip thtrough a scene if it seems to drag on...

Just curious if others have played it and what do they think.

I didn't much care for it. Too many cutscenes that actually get longer and more frequent as you play. It just wasn't all that interesting most of the time. Drags way too much watching many of them. Kojima (or whatever his name is) needs to work on his storytelling a bit. Some good ideas but he way overdoes things.

The actual gameplay didn't seem all that special to me. Close combat is a pain and horribly implemented. Weapon changes, selections, etc. seemed cumbersome. Enemy AI wasn't exactly stellar.

Don't get me wrong, it's a solid AAA title that many people enjoy. There's plenty of good things about it. But, I think lots of people look at it through MGS-colored glasses in most cases and cut it some serious slack in other areas.

It's a pretty game, but it's actually rendered in 1024x768 with 2xAA and then scaled to whatever resolution you are using. Some nifty graphics tricks since you'll notice that's actually a 4:3 resolution.

If anyone wants my copy with strategy book for $45, let me know.

The online is terrible. You have to unload 43798238 clips of bullets into people to kill them, it sucks. The actual game itself was pretty fun. I'll probably trade it in or sell it soon.
