There is a reason tackles, left tackles to be precise, are treasured for their pass protection skills. If you simply are just going to imply that they are not more important than other oline positions, I don't know what to tell you but a lack of pass protection is a major concern for a left tackle

UT was 60/40 run today.

I also didnt imply anything about the importance or lack thereof of a tackle in pass protection, you scrambled to that idea.

Given JG hit 76% of his passes and was sacked once I'd say his pass protection was pretty good for the game.

Hes at LT because hes our best lineman and that's after having blood clots in his lungs and being MIA up and until just a few days ago. He was the best OL last year by a large margin and if he stays healthy he ll be the best until he leaves for the draft.
