What does everyone think about the big debate that was happening this time last year? Should we say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays?

More of a Happy Holidays guy myself... saying Merry Christmas is kind of like saying, "I hope your Christmas is Merry, but I hope your New Years sucks!"

I work with the public, a lot of them international.

I say Merry Christmas to the people that I feel are more than likely American and that say it to me, and I say Happy Hollidays to the people with accents and so on.

ask around, youll find someone that will be offended. generally, when i say merry christmas...im usualy talking to people i know.

however, i sign all my emails/correspondence at work at this time of the year happy holidays....

ridiculous i know...but i figure it's not worth the hassle if i somehow find the one person that's offended.

Happy Holidays is general and pc. I mix it up depending on who I am talking with at the time. Some get Merry X-mas others will get Happy Holidays.

Ahh screw em. People are oversensitive these days anyway. Could you imagine Blazing Saddles if itwas released today? So Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. I hope we all get really drunk on new years and feel like crap the next day. May the Big Orange roll while I fill my glass with more booze and cuss at the announcers.

I tend to think that you should say whatever Holiday that you celebrate. I wouldn't be offended if someone said Happy Chanakua or Happy Kawanza (I doubt either one of those are spelled right, but I get off in 5 minutes and I don't give a damn). I just so happen to celebrate Christmas, so I say Merry Christmas.

I usually say Happy Chrismahannkwanzika....

Actually I say Merry Christmas and if someone says Happy Channukah or Happy Kwanzaa I just say thank you. IMO it is the spirit in which it is given not the words.

not the words, your right, its what you feel, is more important. as long as you have love peace happiness during this year, who cares what you say. I say Merry Christmas to everyone and stay safe during holiday season. Merry Christamas and everyone stay safe during the Holiday season.

Do you people that say "Merry Christmas" still say "Merry Christmas" on December 27th?
