Had a great time yesterday. Here is my opinion on it.

1. MARTA. Always like not having to worry about parking and walking a half mile. $6 round trip.

2. Stadium seating. You can’t beat actual chairs. Bleachers are terrible.

3. Restrooms. No troughs. They still stunk like truck stop restrooms.

4. Food. Unbelievably cheap.wife and I ate for $24.00. Two slices of pizza, two refillable cokes, and candy. I spend more than that at our little league ball park.

5. Escalators. YES!

6. Sound system. TERRIBLE! Can’t believe it was that bad. Couldn’t hardly understand anything the announcer was saying. Sitting diagonally across from our band, really bad echo. Place sounds terrible.

7. Temp. Not bad, I thought it would be a little cooler but still better than sweating.

8. The game. Pleased at how our team even with mistakes keeps playing hard unlike it did with the previous coaches. JA hitting the deep ball was super important even though he could have missed it and it not been that bad. It was a statement completion in my opinion and will be the pass that really shapes our season psychologically for him and the fans 😆

Agree with everything you said above. Marta was easy way to go.

Glad the ATL treated you well, man!

Ditto on the chair backs!

The sound is always an issue because of the weird angles on the place.

My only issue was - again - it was a beautiful day and they didn’t open the roof.

They never open the roof! 😩

Makes sense on the sound. One day when I’m long gone and Neyland is rebuilt, I’m sure there will be real chairs. I can only hope my great great great grandchildren will enjoy them 😂

Better leave them a massive inheritance and a trust fund, and even then that might not be enough.

There was a chance of rain, hence closed roof. It takes 8 minutes to open or close the roof.

Agree! First Class stadium and way better than the old Georgia Dome or the Charlotte stadium we played at last year. I hope I can see us play in a SEC Championship there in the future.

Yep loved the stadium

Sat in the 111c section
It was awesome- very comfortable plus the seats came with food and drinks in the club area below-probably saved money getting tickets there! Thought the temp was awesome!

Parked in Home Depot parking lot-right next to stadium. Easy in and out!

What?! That was a haul to walk up there. There’s literally a MARTA station at either end of the stadium area.
MARTA does not do a very good job of marking stops for those that aren’t locals to know where to go. They can be easy to miss if you are from out of town and either haven’t used lots of transit or if your experience is in Cities where stations are more clearly marked (Boston/DC).

They definitely could do a better job of marking things. I’m sure they came out the south side of the stadium and then just headed north.

It was a hike! But the ushers directed us out into the street and then there was no obvious (to me) way to get into the MARTA station from the street. My Apple map said I was on top of it but I couldn’t get there.

Maybe I just missed a sign, but I need to figure it out before the Vols are back for the SEC championship!
