I don't have much interest in this game, aside from figuring out how in blazes Memphis can be 7-2 overall but 3-3 in their conference.

At the risk of being castigated, I do follow Memphis sports as an alumnus and I have the same question. They had thoughts that they would be in playoff conversation early but their defense has deteriorated and now couldn't stop a runny nose. The real answer to your question lies in their schedule and lack of quality opponents.
