True, but some people arent cut out to be team leaders. Wesley is very passive but very good when he plays hard. He was playing up to expectations the first few games this season and this injury is only a delay. Hes got a vast skill set and will only get better. However, I do believe this injury could cause him to return to school next year. He is in line to graduate and his draft position has been strictly based on potential. Injuries are one thing that will cause the position to drop. See Dejuan Blair
We shall see there mister smarty pants.
Depends on whose expectations you are talking about. If you're talking about sane people who expect them to win C-USA, be around the fringe of the Top 25, and maybe win one game in the NCAA Tournament, I think they'll hit those marks. If you're referring to the people who thought they would be a Top 10 team and make a deep NCAA run, I think you're right.Bottom line, Memphis was going to fall well below preseason expectations with or without Witherspoon. This just provides a temporary excuse.

The first part of your post is their ceiling. They have way too many question marks at this point. Winning C-USA will be an accomplishment that is far from the foregone conclusion of seasons past.
