2004 Ohio State (Co-DC)
2005–2007 Cleveland Browns (DB)

Fulmer: I'll give you the job, but this is what's going to happen...

Tucker: I still get paid and have a buyout?

Fulmer: yes

Tucker: sweet, I'm in!

Doesn't seem to stay anywhere very long, is that a red flag?

I see no benefit from giving a non VFL at shot at the show.

If we hire a HC with no HC experience, the only justification would be they are a VFL.

Jim Bob, KC, or Tee as HC. I get. A non VFL, I don't get.

Not my first choice, but I could get behind it depending on the staff he'd bring. UGA fans seem to think highly of him and don't want to lose him. His stint with the Bears was not very good, but they didn't give him a lot to work with.

Not sure how I feel about people with little to no head coaching experience becoming head coach in one of the toughest conferences in college football. And Coaching a team with one of the toughest schedules in that conference.

Maybe I’ll be proven wrong, but for now I say nay.

I havent found alot about him, but what ive seen is decent, intriguing. He could end up being a real good one. Coached under Saban twice, Smart thought enough of him to bring him along evidently.

Yes...clearly. I would much rather have someone who has never been a HC, won a NC, recruited some of the biggest Vol legends ever, and loves the University less than Phil Fulmer.

He has the experience to get us a GOOD coach now. Maybe not great because of well really the last 10 years. I know Leach is still there, I know Kiffin is still there, but there is a reason that one of the winningest coaches in UT history is not pursuing those options (personal or not). If he is ok, not pursuing them...so am I. This is not Currie, this is a true orange-bloodied VFL.

I will support him until I see a valid reason not to. Certainly wont condemn him because I think I know more than ppl that have been around this league since I was in diapers or longer

Just curious, because to be honest I haven't followed UGA football close enough to understand assistant coaching situation... I'm sure Tucker is a very capable coach, but how much credit for that defense should be his vs Smart? Smart is the defensive mind that ran Alabama's top-rated D for 7 years...
