Meeting Vol players

[Fine Vol]

I have not had the pleasure but have any of you met any of the Football or basketball players? If so give some storys of the cool athletes and the ones who were jerks.......here is mine.

I went to the coaching luncheon for the OSU/Vols citrus bowl when we had Jay Grahm and they had Eddie George. I shook hands with Cooper and then CPF and CPF did not look at me at all and really blew me off. If he had not done that I would not be on the fence about him today, anyway thats mine

I know Brittany Jackson from hs when she played for the TN all star girls team when I played for the TN all star guys team, Kelly Jolly is my cousin, Swain is one of my ex gf's best friends, and i met Slick Rick Clausen last spring break.

When going to school at UT, Hung out at Gus' Good Times Deli. A lot of the players ate there. Reggie White and Willie Gault were always there. Willie Gault scared the crap out of some Ole Miss fans who were jacking on him, not knowing he was sitting right behind them. It was pretty funny when he turned around and asked them if they wanted to see how fast "this ol' boy" can run. Not sure I have yet seen so much stuttering and stammering and clammering to get gone. Would make a great commercial for that airline. "Wanna get away?":rock:

I was behind the Communications Bldg. when I thought there was an eclipse - it was Reggie White and Mike Cofer (Stop) walking back from practice.

I don't know if they were nice/rude or what...all I know is they didn't kill me.

When I was a student I met several guys from the football team and basketball team in class or out at bars. They were all very friendly. I think a lot of those guys catch an unfair rep of being too cool for fans, when really they just want to hang out once in awhile and not get bothered. Most of those guys will still be friendly if you offer a quick word of encouragement rather than try and get your picture with them or something crazy like that.

This past semester I had class with Chris Lofton. He actually is a VERY nice guy. I also work at the Bursars office on campus, and have met Aaron Sears and a couple other football players. They are all very nice.
