Sapp perhaps, the rest no. JRM and Cam are off to the NFL, DKjr will play this season, possibly this Saturday.

But cam and jrm have hurt their draft status IMO. Wouldn't u agree

They might have hurt their stock (especially JRM because of the repeated injury to his shoulder) because of injury, but not due to them not playing well. There's absolutely no way they come back for another season. They will get healthy for the combine and Cam might come back for the SECCG.

What are the chances JRM and Cam could get as well as Sapp and maybe even DK JR if he doesn't heal up

JRM and Cam will not redshirt and/or return for next season. Cam trying to get ready to play some in December.

Sapp has already had a medical redshirt year.

Kirkland is a possibility for a redshirt if he is unable to return this year. He is trying to return but appears not ready for this week

He has practiced and appeared to move well, why do you say he appears to not be ready? Just curious. GBO!

Hearing tonight he has tried to go this week but still can't cut.. earlier practice reports lacked details on what he could do, at least those I saw.

I made a post a couple weeks back after talking to a friend who played with JRM on Teams 117-119, and he told me not to rule out the possibility. There are a few factors he mentioned, most revolving around his potential to be drafted. He's such a tweener between safety/LB/nickel, which is one thing that makes that difficult. Another issue, as a previous poster said, is his repeated shoulder injuries now. Compound that with the fact that he's likely going to need yet another surgery, therefore missing significant reps that are important for rookies, and he may be even less appealing. Another year at UT may benefit him *IF* he stays healthy for it.

Also, my buddy made sure to school me on the rule, which is that a player must play <1 quarter of a season to be eligible for a medical redshirt. This is measured in quarters played, and JRM has played in <12 of them.

I really don't have any insider info, only what my friend's opinion was when Butch said they were giving him "options". I really hope he does whatever he wants and doesn't look back. One of my favorite Vols ever. I will fully support whatever his choice is.

JRM definitely fits the rule definition as long as he doesn't play anymore

I've been wondering about his draft status also. These repeated injuries are going to hurt him. I bet he would have to think about coming back. He'll be a mid-late round pick at best now IMO.

I'm not sure Maybin would get drafted.
reminds me a lot of the guy from Mizzou that was SEC defensive player of the year and then was the last pick of the draft. His frame doesn't translate to the NFL.

I think Maybin has over bulked and this has contributed to his injuries.

Why return for a senior season and risk everything? This is a good season, imagine next season us having 4 losses and Cam or JRM not playing as well as they did this season due to the supporting cast around them.
Their stock would fall just like Arian Foster's stock fell during his senior season.
Cam already said he was going to return for the Tennessee Tech game, not the S.E.C.C.G.

Cam hurt his draft stock last year because of his play and injuries this year haven't done him any favors. I think both are mid to late round draft pics.

Agree. Don't think either will get drafted before the 4th or 5th round. Cam will go first. JRM is a bit undersized but could get picked by a team.

He has a child. that is a huge factor in his decision process.
