Meanwhile in Florida… (Costco tickets)

I mean, when you have to pay a ridiculous amount to get in, you have to pay a ridiculous amount to get food and drinks, you have to pay a ridiculous amount to park in a space that is 3 miles away and walk, I get why people would want to pay $65 a month to catch 4 games in a month from their couch without traffic, crazy prices and drunken idiots.

I mean...I love the GameDay experience so much, and want to go. But the thought of all of the hassle and the disorganization and the stress just makes it easier to watch at the couch. They need to focus attention on making not just prices more manageable, but the ability to find and get parking and transportation better. Maybe it's gotten better, but that's just been my experience the last few times.
Take a Valium…

I was in Costco on Sunday up here in Louisville, and they had UofL tickets like these as well. I wouldn't be surprised if you don't see UT doing it (I'm not sure if there's a Costco in Knoxville and am too lazy to Google), because it's a pretty risk-free revenue opportunity and dangles something in front of a customer who's already in a store to buy random crap as it is.

As TVs get bigger and better and the price to go skyrockets, look for this to become more common place.

When we moved into our new house last October, I bought a 75 inch 4K TV that is ridiculously clear.
I'll still go to games, but DANG it's nice to be able to see the games that clearly on a TV.

I enjoy PBR regularly myself. Nector of the gods

Personally I have kegs of PBR and Heineken in kegerators.

Heineken for the day to day use It also mysteriously "runs out" when I have guests over

Now, if games start going badly-the option of an angry PBR drunk is always on the table. Durn near drained a keg after the Ga State game.

It's not necessarily Costco or any other place these are sold but the entire concept I think is a possible dimunation of value. But also consider if Porsche or Ferrari started selling cars at Costco, would that be a negative?

That of the 130+ CFB programs, there's only about 12 or so doing this.

That the list of programs doing this are not what are generally considered top programs with the exception of UF.

Don't know what season ticket holders paid for these games, but I suspect it's more that $30 and they didn't get a free dog and coke. But SCAR was offering all you can eat and parking which UF didn't go that far.

It's a gimmick that has long term risks

They aren't selling Club Seats at Costco....they're selling the nose-bleeds. To your Porsche reference, it'd be like them selling their VW ventured 914 or 924's...not Supercharged 911's. Panamera's, or Cayenne's.

My Costco was selling Sonos speakers but on further inspection they weren't the same one's as you get at Best Buy or Sonos.com.

That’s why I laugh when people worry about losing a few seats when updating the stadium. The days of selling out 100,000 seats for every game are over. Look at games on TV, even Alabama has empty seats in the upper deck corners for games. As people have said games last too long, it takes too long to get there and get home, cost is prohibitive and something I have not seen mentioned is all the other games on TV. If I stay home, I can not only watch UT but I can watch all the other games that are on. I’m a big UT fan but I’m also a football fan and I like to watch other games.
Disclosure: I am a season ticket holder and go to 3 or 4 home games a year and usually one away game.
