'26 MD OL Edward Baker (Tennessee commit)

Seaton was at St. John's in D.C. before IMG.

I remembered a connection in/near Maryland. Thanks for the clarification.

Were you able to watch?
I cut it off in the third quarter but St Frances absolutely dominated Chaminade (No. 9 team in the country). They had over 200 yards rushing in the first half alone.

Their entire OL is pushing 300 pounds and Baker was the biggest kid on the field. He starts at RT for them but is definitely a guard at the college level. He was mauling kids in the running game but lacks the agility needed to block the elite edge rushers in the SEC imo.

His biggest thing when he gets on campus will be transforming his body. He's carrying some bad weight at the moment but a couple years in our weight room will change that.

I'm not an OL guru by any means but those were my thoughts from watching him.

probably a better analysis than we get from any of the 9.99 guys tbh.

Matt Ray said that he thinks Baker is the most underrated player in the entire country, not just Tennessee's class, but the entire country.

He mentioned that Baker was much higher on our boards then some of the top 100 guys.
Not sure I can go that far on Baker but I do think he's massively underrated. I mean he's been the starting RT for two straight seasons at a top 5 high school program in the country.

He's facing better competiton in practice every day than some D1 college kids are...that's not to mention the number of top 25 programs St. Frances plays against each year.

I think if he's the fourth ranked OL in your class then you've brought in quite a haul.
