Have you been watching the NFL recently? Check a few depth charts..there are a few CJH vols... specifically at WR and DB on active rosters and producing. Guys folks slept on while there were here. Hyatt was always a 1 trick pony. Ced and Donte got something to say.
Exactly. There are former CJH Vols on several NFL rosters. And Josh Palmer! :)

Brazzel looked like a pro on Saturday. Those deep passes were basically jump balls and he won every one of them. Didn’t give away that the passes were coming too soon and used his size to secure the catches.

Joey did his job of throwing a catchable ball and Brazzel did his job of making the play. You don’t have to throw the perfect pass to make big plays as QB.
That was one of my favorite things about that game. Give Aguilar enough of a pocket that he could chuck a 50/50 ball out there, and just pick on Georgia’s secondary. And Brazzell went and did it and he’s getting deserved props for it now. I can see that plan against a lot of teams; doing it to Georgia was a pleasant surprise (understatement).

The inept QB play in the passing game had something to do with last year.
This^ exactly Joey throws a very catchable ball and as someone said overthrows you never get interceptions but under throws are better you give your receivers a chance and I'll take the 6' 5" Brazwell every time on a jump ball bomb.

His height and hands make him special. We saw what happens when 5’10” listed in the program being 6 feet plus DBs go up with him on 1 on 1 coverage jump balls.

Maybe……Nico…..was the problem??
Yep. And it seems obvious when WRs are wide open and passes are going 10 yards over their heads.

WR drops were also a problem. Especially the prior season with Milton.

Thirdly, in 2023, Milton threw some great deep balls to Keyton, who was terrible at tracking them. He’d slow down, then speed back up, and the ball would go over his head. It looked like an overthrow but it was really because RK slowed down (to be fair, he did this to Hooker a couple times in 2022). He might’ve been the worst I’ve ever seen at tracking deep passes.

I doubt they will give Chris a fair shot. The voters will be giving Jeremiah Smith the award unless he misses like 4 games.

I'm asking an honest question. Do you know the other WR's in the league that CJH has coached? I have no clue. Did he coach any while at UCF? Maybe OU as OC?

What Jalin Hyatt did here in 2022 was incredible, but that guy was not going to be a productive NFL receiver regardless of what system he played in in college.

As far as skills as a WR, he really only brings one big one to the table, which is straight-line speed (and he didn't run the 40 as fast as you'd think at the combine either). He isn't a great route runner and doesn't have great quickness/make guys miss ability. Doesn't have good size either.

I think the label of "system guy" is an unfair sometimes, but unfortunately I think it was right with Hyatt. His success was a function of Heupel's offense creating matchup issues on the outside between him and a safety. I think the NFL strongly suspected that too - it isn't often that a Biletnikoff winner goes in the 3rd round of a draft.
Joey Kent was the same way.

At OU as OC?

Sterling Shepard
Ryan Broyles
Jermaine Gresham TE (1st round pick)
Probably a lot more but that’s a lot of time I don’t have

As Mizzou OC
Jmon Moore

At UCF
Gabriel Davis
Jacob Harris
