McKenzie Out For Season

Ok it's now become ridiculous. Its going to be hard to finish the season without using a plethora of walk ons...Been following Vols for 40 years and never remember a season with this amount of injuries, especially to starters...AND IF SOME WELL MEANING FAN THINKS THIS DOESNT GREATLY EFFECT PLAY CALLING, SCHEMING, ETC. ETC. THEN YOU ARE GOT TO BE ON DRUGS....communication, calling the sets on defense, continuity, familiarity with the position, etc etc....EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT....

Speaking for I, I are not on drugs.

Its just HARD for me to believe that they (Coaches) cant find a spot where Big Charles Mosely can't be serviceable.........its mind boggling as big as he is.......... I think its another one of things where Butch just doesn't want to play him for some reason........hell, he can at least stand there and plug holes on Defense in the middle cause you can't move him..................

Kongbo, Johnson, and Picou for certain have to step up, may be time for Big Charles to see the field somewhere even if it's the OL. He is simply too big even if he just ties a body up somewhere, it's better than a smaller player getting dominated IMO.

I am glad I am finally at the age where this doesn't ruin my entire fall. I have been a VFL and a contributor since my freshman year in 68 and I can say I have never seen anything close to this attrition. We get a Championship contending team and then the bottom falls out. I want to blame somebody.

Not an expert, but am pretty sure that dehydrated muscles are significantly less supple and stretchy, and more prone to tearing. Perhaps we could do better with that.

But I will say this ... I am thankful we had KMac for this first half of the season. Maybe he wasn't dominant, but he definitely contributed and I am thankful he was there for that part.

Now the other guys have got to finish it on out this second half.

NO player could have lived up to his expectation. Some where expecting Reggie White/John Henderson this year

May not have a choice. I would just like for him to stand up and Bull rush the Center each snap like the Waterboy + 200lbs!

He can be our Kublanow and do the ankle roll each snap!

So serious question who do we get back for the SC game?

Tough as a $2 steak Jack Jones will be back.
Should get Weisman, McDowell, Robertson, Kirkland back.
I hope Abernathy muscle pull isn't too serious or gets reaggravated.
Foreman?
BTW what happened to Chance Hall: concussion?
Cam is saving himself for the ever important TN Tech game!
Vickers should be fine

Vols: Decimated
Custer: Annihilated

(Decimated means 1/10 are out)

I know the literal definition of decimated, Doofus:crazy:.

I was using the word in the sense that it's been used historically to designate great loss on the field of battle or in the case of a pandemic for instance.

Example: The Black Plague decimated the population of Europe; that's not to be taken literally to mean that only 10% of the population was affected!

1/3 of the population was killed was killed by it
Crazy. And that's just estimates. Could have been more.

talked to some older college football heads than me and they said they had never heard or seen a team with this many injuries in their life (one gentleman was 80...his friend was 82)...seriously...bad...:loco:

PS. Just so you know...these guys are life-long Gator fans...they were consoling me...:)

GO VOLS!

I had a similar situation to yours on Saturday. The only difference was they were Bama fans.

There's nothing quite like the pity from the fans of the team that just humiliated your team by 39 points. Ugh!
