too many chiefs and not enough indians now. WENEED TO PLAY 9 , not 14 !! he will have to grow up before he gets to play major minutes. such a disappointment, i thought he was a good player

To spell a players name wrong in a post is one thing, but to spell his name wrong in a thread that they created is ignorant. Can someone please edit the title of the thread? Barring injuries to Hopson and Tatum this season, McRae won't play another meaningful minute this year, but will be very important for the future of our program.

pearl has 30+ years of bball experience... you have zero.12 players deep wears down other teams, having fresh legs is a huge deal. Face it.

No he doesnt from what ive seen. Hes made a few very athletic plays but mostly his time consisted of bad shot after bad shot.

Fresh legs help when you play the "controlled chaos" style of ball. Playing a half court game on the other hand is a different story. In a half court set, players need time to get going. when you are subbing in an out 12 guys within minutes of coming in, it isn't helping anything at all.

The controlled chaos days of Tennessee b-ball are over. Bruce Pearl said since he has taller and more athletic players he will no longer press full court and prefers his new system. Most teams have 9 man rotations, I think that's what we are using (McBee, Pearl, Williams, Bone). Pretty crazy we are sitting three four star recruits on the bench, but they haven't stepped up. The problem with playing 11-12 guys earlier this year is players like Harris, Hopson and Tatum are currently not conditioned to go 30-40 minutes a game because they are regularly being taken out, although not as frequently as the start of the year. For example, Hopson looked absolutely exhausted at the end of the first half of the game and was taken out on multiple occassions. The only player I think that needs to play more is Kenny Hall, he should at least get 5 minutes a game and will be starting for us next year.
