So what? The guy wasnt good enough to see the field. So he will go to a smaller school, with a much easier schedule and play well. Peterman had 1 really good game at Pitt. So name the other TN QB that transferred, balled out, got drafted and played well in the NFL.

Ferguson balled out at Memphis. Of course, our coaching staff wasn't the issue with him, nor was lack of commitment. It was lack of dedication and maturity...

Dobb’s has been on the field what, once? Peterman was a starter. He bombed, but he was a starter nonetheless.

This season was real odd. Big Ben usually sits out one or two games per year and the back up gets their chance, but oddly, not this season..

Humble praise. He’s redefined the definition of bomb in the NFL. Neither here nor there, at TENNESSEE for him to avoid a wasted career he would’ve had to outperform Dobbs...and he clearly didn’t at Tennessee. To his credit, he transferred, persevered and had a nice finish to his career. But there is nothing regrettable stemming from Dobbs being our QB...quite the opposite. Same holds for Riley Ferguson. We have to see how Sheriron Jones finishes up but at this point there is no Tennessee “curse” concerning QB moves. Other positions are fair game.

Had Peterman remained at U.T., he likely would have never seen the field. By going to Pitt, he ended up making a boatload of money in the NFL. Probably over a million dollars at this point.... So, he made a good move.

Ben's contract is over after the
BOT, Dobbs ain't done yet! I'm hoping Pittsburgh is in position week 17 where a win doesn't matter and they want rest Big Ben. I don't want him to get hurt but it would great to see Dobbs play with the starters. Who knows, Ben could retire this year.[/QUO

Bens contract is over after the 2019 season. I predict that if the team plays in the Super Bowl next season, then he will retire. I also predict that if the team doesn't qualify for the play-offs in 2019, he will retire.
If they qualify for the play offs but get eliminated, I am not sure what he will do... It will be up to him. You can't ask your Future Hall of Fame Q.B. to retire. Not politically correct or respectful

The Steelers definitely have to win on Sunday in order to have a shot at the playoffs. It doesn't look good for Dobbs to play with the starters on Sunday nor for the Steelers to make another Super Bowl. The Steelers drafting Mason Rudolph doesn't bode well for Dobbs either

Never argued that. My dispute is with the inference that Tennessee LOST anything by them transferring. Neither Ferguson nor Peterman had a chance of starting with Dobbs here.

For his size and not being recruited highly out of high school, I thought he did an excellent job.
