Most likely just a rumor, but saw on a different forum that Cade and Smith were taking practice reps at DT. One of the concerns heading in to the matchup is if our front 7 can get pressure on Bennett ... anyone know if there is any validity to this?

Seriously doubt it. Smith would be one mean-ass DT though lol

I also figured it was unlikely, but I absolutely agree ... Pruitt sometimes pulls out a trick, and I could see it for sure on the goal line.

If we are considering putting an OL at DT, it sure as hell wouldn't be a starter. Most likely it would be Calbert given his size.

could be... say 2-3 guys on the front get covid and have to sit...Pruitt's been open that there's all sorts of options to be considered for each circumstance w/ players and coaches. We're pretty deep on OL and not so much on DL, so they could have had them run some snaps for familiarity purposes in case of emergency.

I think you're referring to these guys.

Derek Smith (left) will take over as Viera High's new football coach after his childhood friend, Kevin Mays, announced he is leaving the school after seven seasons. Mays turned the Hawks from a doormat into one of the state's top programs during his tenure.

There was a day not so long in college football you saw players go both ways, offense and defense. Taking a few snaps on the other side of the ball may not hurt. Lots of high schools have to in order to get the best players on the field.

Would love to see Simmons and Smith anchoring down the middle of the DL.

Maybe we could just time warp Haynesworth, Henderson and Overstreet to the team.

But if we went that far than Peyton or Casey, Al Wilson, Eric Berry, Witten and Shawn Bryson might as well come along for the ride!

Derek Smith looks like Dale Jr. on steriods!
