Mayo's rookie stats

Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo continued at a torrid tackle pace with 11 tackles (and a pass defense) in New England’s 49-26 rout of the Raiders. Mayo is tied for seventh in the league with 114 tackles. He is the top rookie tackler in the league by 27 tackles.

Can you say Defensive Rookie of the Year???

Mayo was a great player, too bad he was lost in the middle of a mediocre D his last 2 years here. I remember when he came in as a FR at florida in '05... I knew he had to be pretty good to be trusted by our coaching staff in those circumstances.
