Marvel Cinematic Universe

I'm not sure how I feel. I do like continuity so if previous characters show up I'll like it better. But they will need to be a main character. Side characters are a little disappointing.
I think we knew too much about these characters before hand. would have been more exciting if we were really just learning about these characters, their backstories, and their abilities in this movie. would have been too much to uniquely set up in a 2hr movie, but it would help establish them.

and it wasn't even really the tongue in cheek "B Squad" set up either. like the actual avengers are out there saving the galaxy, meanwhile the thunderbolts are dealing with one issue back on earth. this was trying to make the B squad the A squad, and it didn't do that.

still thought it was good, I just wouldn't put it close to being "avenger-esque".

I felt sorry for them at the end. It reminded me of fat Thor. It felt like they didn't believe in themselves and I understand why.

yeah, like I said. it wasn't clear if this was supposed to be the plucky comedic relief B team. or a coming of age from the B team to develop into a legitimate A team.

I get they were tackling depression as a topic, but I think it hurt the overall plot.

dude they could've trotted steve rogers out there and you'd have complained.

bold assumption on your part.

my issue hasn't been the characters themselves, but what Marvel was intending for them to be. like I said above, its not clear if this is supposed to be the just the new avengers with these, and presumably, other characters stepping into the main role. or if these were going to stay the B team so that Disney has new movies in the MCU without really advancing a storyline.

either way is fine, but the movie didn't make it clear.

Watched Wonder Man and really enjoyed it. The character is quite different from the comics but I’d guess most people know very little about him anyway.

The characters relationships were great. Kinda made me want to watch IM3 again and I’ve long said it’s the worst MCU movie.

I don’t understand why Marvel barely promoted this show and dumped all the episodes at once.

I think maybe they're trying to distance from what could be perceived by some as lackluster performing shows and movies. Back to the whole market surplus argument, maybe? Anything was going to not be Endgame.

Agreed. I thought it was great. I liked the line - could be a threat or an asset. Little nod to the comics.
