Bray, Fugate, Poole, Thomas, Schofield, Stone, Fulton, James, Rivera, Rogers, and Hunter were getting the most reps.

Marcus Jackson and Alex Bullard were rotating in on the o-line and Rajion Neal and Zach Rogers were getting the reps in the slot.

Lane was rotating in at RB and Clear was rotating in at TE.

Has Neal been working just at slot, or swapping between slot and RB?

from VQ articles, staff is working out RNeal at WR/Slot in order to get
a speedy back outside. VQ says staff believes RNeal one of the fastest players on the team.

Got to have been the plan for Devrin Young prior to his shoulder injury.
So, this shows how serious the staff is about developing some screens, bubbles, slants, etc.

From some of the past reports CDD is wanting to use Neal in different position to utilize his speed but he will still be in the backfield as a RB.

I'm ready to see some screens that work. Tired of seeing it blown up in the backfield.

Do you think this is more about Lane maybe getting the edge right now at RB, or nobody stepping up in the slot, or just trying it out to see what happens?

Both. The coaches are very impressed with Lane, but they also want to get Neal on the field if possible to see what he can do.

I was thinking this as well, probably a combo of both. Neal had some good wheel routes for us last year

It's a pretty big statement on Lane's ability imo.

Neal is a good football player that the coaches want on the field so they're trying different things to see what works the best.

I don't mind seeing this, but not if we're going to broadcast it and show our hand to the defense when these package players are on the field.

I kind of got that feeling with the Rodgers end-around last year.

Yes, screens. I agree completely.

+1. We have receivers who can play slot. This is about Lane.

it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I never saw another end-around for the rest of my life.

I personally would like screens if it were to a back (Neal) or quick WR in the slot

Not surprised about Clear getting first-team reps. Honestly won't be surprised if he's the starter at TE by the end of the season.
