Mark May just ripped us a new one

On the halftime report of Boise/Fresno game, May just said we made a bad hire, and we will be looking again in 3 years.

He said Kiffin is being thrown to the sharks with Meyer, Saban, Miles, etc...and has no college HC experience. He said he couldn't even get the Minnesota job, and went 5-15 with the Raiders.

Granny Clampett said Monte was the best football coach he ever coached with at Arky, and he would hold everyone under 6 points. Granny also said our recruiting issues are over with Yaw Yaw Yaw coming in.

May then said if we are more concerned with assistants than the HC, we made the wrong hire.

I saw this on ESPN. He doesn't think Kiffin was the most qualified coach UT could have picked. It didn't seem that brutal, just disagrees with the choice.

I just don't think Kiffin has enough track record to say. That's the problem IMO. It's not like the Pearl hire. Pearl had a track record. The only question about Pearl was could he get it done at this level. Question answered. The Kiffin hire is a pretty big gamble IMO. We will see how it works out.
