Marines Probe Puppy-Throwing Video

HONOLULU (AP) — Military officials are investigating an Internet video that purports to show a Marine throwing a puppy off a rocky cliff.

Maj. Chris Perrine of the Marine Corps Base Hawaii says it appears the man is based with a unit in the islands.

Marine officials are calling the YouTube video "shocking and deplorable" and say it violates "the high standard we expect of every Marine."

The low-quality video shows two Marines joking as one holds up what appears to be a motionless black and white puppy, which he then hurls into a rocky gully.

A yelping sound is heard as it flies through the air.

This guy could be in hot water.....unless he can prove that the puppy was Al Qaeda.

Pretty sick stuff. If only people viewed killing innocent Iraqi's the same as killing innocent puppies, we would see anti-War riots all throughout the streets of America. :snoring:

Aside from the fact that our presence there is actually protecting the innocent Iraqi's from the people that are targeting them...

Yes absolutely correct. 99.5% of our armed forces do just that. Just like 99.5% of Americans love our country. As for the rest they are poor excuses for human beings.

This is horrible. Honestly, I did not view the link b/c I was afraid it would be too upsetting.
This guys should have his A$% kicked followed by a dishonorable discharge.

And by the way, we have been all forthcoming with our when we are going to bomb and where and if there are "innocent" lives lost it is b/c the warnings were ignored and people were staying to support the bad guys. What is the confusion, America is the good guy, Hello? It's war folks, people are going to die. If there was a war going on in Chattanooga, TN, I'd pack my family and head out post haste. It's not rocket science.

I love America madly. However, I do hate AmeriKa. Does that mean I fall in the .5% category?

It depends on what that K stands for. Better yet why don't you tell me if you hate America. Only you would know, on second hand some of these people who hate our country and what it stands for are so blinded by their hate they do not realize they hate the very principals that make us great. (I do not imply that you are one of these people)

AmeriKa - Spelling America with a “K” instead of a “C” refers to the condition of the country after the full-on takeover by fascist coadjutants. In America, there is freedom and liberty. In AmeriKa, there is the destruction of civil rights, loss of liberties of all types, and the installation of a government run by the true “enemy combatants,” starting with an occupant President, a man who by all reasonable accounts, lost the last election, but still holds office.

What liberties have you lost? What civil rights have you lost? Do you understand the election process? Do you contend that things were skewed in just this election to put Bush in office? This is the way elections have worked for some time. Do you mean to tell me that a predominately liberal court would uphold that election if it were not waranted. Whose accounts do you consider reasonable?

You sound to me as if you only like America when things go as you think they should. I love America whoever is in office. You don't honestly believe we were responsible for 911 do you? If so there I will need to quit debating as there is no way to debate an irrational person!

O.K., I this this picture needs to be painted just for you. Let's review why it's AmeriKa, not America.

1. We try and take care of other countries' problems before ours. The gov't is more concerned about the problems OUTSIDE of the U.S., while ignoring the problems WITHIN. See: our borders
2. Large companies get Large Tax Breaks, while the working class gets a Tax Hike.
3. In some cities, you can't have a gun within city limits, even if you are using it for family protection in your own home... See: D.C., Chicago
4. Our elected officials are more worried about filling their pockets with cash, than doing their jobs of serving the people. See: Carlyle
5. 3 out of every 10 bucks you make goes straight to Big Bro. Then they tax you for everything you purchase, and again, when you get gas, or have a child, and along with when you die... if you add up all the taxes you actually pay when you spend your money, the gov't is taking at least 35% of your check.
6. Laws have been passed that changed the Bill of Rights. See: Patriot Act, RICO, FISA
7. The Supreme Court ruled IN FAVOR of Police to have the power to handcuss, search, and take into custody a person, for anything as small as a seat belt violation, and do not need reasonable suspicion.
8. You are allowed to be drugged, involuntarily by the courts, in an attempt to alter your mental state, to make you competent. See: US vs Charles Sales
9. Todays US currency violates the constitution of 4 counts. article 1 section 8, article 1 section 10, article 5 & 6. see: First National Bank of Montgomery, Minn, plaintiff vs Jerome Daly
10. No "we" did not pull of 911, fanatical Muslims bypassed the U.S. Air Defense System on 9/11. Duh! NORAD was just on a lunch break... The implosion of WTC 1/2/7 were all coincidences. :snoring:

I paid no more in taxes! ( I don't make very much money) In fact we got more this year! How much did you pay in taxes? There has been a constant assault on gun owners rights by liberals in this country for years. Guess the liberals are finally getting what they want! The Patriot act is a useful tool in fighting terrorists and drug runners. Seems to me unless you run drugs or associate with terrorists you have nothing to worry about. I do not know for sure but isn't Nevada a Democratic state? (like I said I do not know for sure) I do not have time to look at court cases or look at statutes so please tell me how our currency violates the law or Constitution. America has always tried to do what good they could for the world. America is always going to have problems because it is a free society. We cannot solve them all. If you look hard enough you can find fault with everything. Seriously take a while to appreciate what you have here. I don't know anything about you but it looks like you will be setting yourself up for failure with the " its not my fault everyone else is to blame" mentality.
