A sports radio talk show was questioning his attachment to her because he was dating lots of girls all during that time. They said his teammates didn't think he was all that serious about her. That said, my first instinct was the same as yours.

For whatever reason this story was made up, it is all over the national and local news. The Media will not let up.

Don't know about the gay thing...don't really care. Someone's going to step up as the first openly gay ACTIVE NFL player after Skip Bayless andStephen A Smith yell about it for a year it'll be no big deal. A theory I heard today that makes sense is this started with one or more of Teo's friends as a prank started flirting with him online and it was a casual fling for Manti...when they "killed" her off after his grandma died and the Heisman buzz started for him he started making up details...yes lying...and it took off on national tv...about as rational an explanation as any I've heard
