That's life in the NFL with the salary cap. Whatever happens, I really hope he wins a Super Bowl and finally gets the respect he deserves. Going all the way back to his days at Tennessee, Manning has been the victim of more "player hating" than just about any athlete I can think of.

I just don't see it happening. The Colts would be NUTS to let Manning go and break up the offensive system they have going there. Somehow, what I suspect will happen is, they'll sign Manning to an insane contract and then lack the money to sign key free agents and he'll toil in mediocrity for the next 5 years because he has no support. On the other hand, he wouldn't surprise me if he stayed in Indy and played for less than the maximum to free up salary cap dollars to sign more key free agents...
