Just watched the USC 30 for 30 probably the 2nd best special behind the 2 Miami ones. Would love to see one about our championship run.

No. The only thing that has happened at Tennessee in the past 40 years that's worth a 30 for 30 is our stunning decline post-Fulmer, but we need to start winning again before they go down that path.

Plus we already got Peyton's story in The Book Of Manning.

You obviously forgot the recruitment and career of Rodriquez Wilks.

Already happened. Book of Manning.

Spent about 20 min on Peyton's decision to come here, his time here, and reflections on his time here after being in NFL.

I don't think a stand-alone show could really say any more than that show did.

Inky, however, would make a great 30 for 30 story.

Let's hope there's a 30 for 30 about the rebirth of Tennessee football soon.

Why, though? He wasn't here for our title run.

I'm also not sure there's really that much of an underlying story there.

If they were going for dominance (/unexpected dominance), it seems something like Nebraska or Spurrier's 90s Gators would be the better story to go with.

I guess there's somewhat of a "they weren't supposed to win it all with their best player ever no longer there"...but there are much better "they weren't supposed to win" options as far as documentary materials/subjects go.

Hey guys this is off topic but I can't post a new thread without 100 posts or something. Anyway. I am going to knoxville next month and am hoping to catch a home game. Have the whole month off. Where is a good place to say near the stadium and where are the best places to eat. I'm a vol from fl and have never experienced the vol walk etc. Please help. Thanks.

We are not worthy of a 30 for 30.

I think the only story that's legitimately worthy of a 30 for 30 in regards to Tennessee football is about Neyland and his life/coaching career/military service. But that all happened so long ago that it's more in Ken Burns territory and less ESPN.

I second this. I would love to see a 30 for 30 on Neylands entire life and military/coaching career. Somehow they'd mess up though and say he lost to Bear Bryant every single time they played each other. They'd also credit Bama with at least one of our championships that Neyand coached us to win.

Not a Manning but a 30 for 30 about the Fulmer era would be awesome. It would have enough drama and big names to be interesting to the non Tennessee/SEC fan. A kid who grew up a fan and would drive to the top of a hill to listen to the games. Goes there becomes a team captain and then begins coaching there. To get a flushed out story of how Majors "left" would be amazing. Then the 5 year rise that includes Peyton and peaks with the National Championship over FSU. The amazing teams that were arguable better(01,03) that came up short. Then the snake eats it's own tail when he gets the fans so use to winning that he can't live up to the bar he himself set. How 6 years out from the firing it's been a train wreck at Tennessee. I'd watch it!

Went 39-6 as a starter, 3-1 in bowl games and set multiple SEC records. Yeah who wants to see a 30 for 30 episode like that?

No. And don't get me wrong I will forever support Peyton as one of the greatest of all times, but, (and not trying to be a capital D) no NC and never beat Florida. The 98 team deserves it more.

Not sure why Inky's story hasn't been one yet.
