If the powers that be don't think Dooley is the long term solution, then do it now. It has to be a home run so offer Jeff Fisher 5 years and 30 Million. He has a relationship with Sirmon from the Titans and could mentor Wilcox with the defense. I think he still lives in Nashville, but works in the front office for the NFL.

Watson Brown has more experience and more wins as a college football coach than Jeff.

Good God. Make the stupidity stop.

Stupidity is ASSuming a coach who has succeeded at a higher, more complex level is somehow unqualified to coach at a lower one.
So, just because you coached a HS team, it doesn't mean you're qualified to coach a Pop-Warner team? Is that right?

As a season ticket holder and franchise long Titan fan, we don't have the defense, kicking game, or close game patience for Fisher ball.

JF is a defensive minded coach. That's where he started and that's the team he had with the Titans.

The SEC isnt a defensive based conference. It is highly offensive based. Bad fit.

I bet fisher can get the Run Game going. And fix Special teams. But....youll never see touchdowns or going for it on 4th down. :/

Really? What was the score when LSU No.1 went against No.2 Bama? Lots of offense, right?

That is actually 100% incorrect. Did you not watch the LSU-Alabama game? The SEC is based completely on defense, which is why it has won the last 5 Nat'l titles and will probably make it 6 this year. It's why all these high-powered offenses (Oregon, etc.) get their a$$es kicked.

I don't know that Fisher is a bad coach, just that things had gotten stale for him with the Titans. Sometimes it's just time to move on. Belichik is a good example. He wasn't exactly embraced in Cleveland, and now look where he is. A HOF coach with the Patriots. Same was the case with Dungy.

It was time for him to move on from Tampa Bay. With all of that said, he is probably going to be one of the first candidates for an NFL opening. I doubt he would consider an offer from us.

Yep, just look at Arkansas.

Then look at Bama and LSU to see what real football should be. God I wish I could throw UT in the mix.

Gee. I always thought Alabama did pretty good playing defensive football first and offense second. Didn't they just win a N-championship?
